There are two different techniques:

2 – Two separate incisions on either side of the tailbone. In this case, there are two scars on the inner sides of each buttock, which can be visible. This method tends to have an easier recovery, but if the patient wears something like a thong, the scars can be seen.

During the first week following surgery, the patient should avoid sitting directly on the buttocks. They may sit sideways or lie face down. One week after surgery, they can gradually begin to sit. By about 18-20 days post-surgery, the patient can sit comfortably. In fact, we allow patients to fly home after 18-20 days. They need to be able to sit comfortably for a flight, which becomes feasible around 20 days post-op.
Do the Silicone Implants Need to Be Replaced After Some Time?
The buttocks do not behave like the breasts. They do not sag significantly with age. Typically, buttock implants do not require replacement.
